The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is the only publicly funded art gallery in Canada that focuses exclusively on Canadian and Indigenous art, both historical and contemporary. The permanent collection consists of more than 7,000 artworks by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit and contemporary artists who have contributed to the development of the art of Canada. The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is located in the charming Village of Kleinburg, approximately 35 minutes north of Toronto: 10365 Islington Avenue, Kleinburg, ON.
The McMichael Pass covers general admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children (under 18), and includes parking for one vehicle; not applicable to additional programming that may have an added ticket value (i.e. concerts or paid workshops). Passes must be checked out by staff and returned in person to staff (not through the drop-box or self-checkouts) at any Pickering Library branch.
