This follows General Nanisca as she trains the next generation of the warriors. The Woman King was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood who studied at UCLA Film School. Gina received the Gene Reynolds Scholarship for Directing and the Ray Stark Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Undergraduate. Gina was then hired as a writer for A Different World after graduating. She has also directed Women of the Movement, The Secret Life of Bees, and episodes of Girlfriends and many more titles. She is a director, writer and producer.
