Erupting with a force like a volcano, the famous band's live sound is wonderfully captured in this album. Those who only know the MC5 for the punk rock gem "Kick Out the Jams" will be delighted to hear track after track with the same energetic spirit. Personal highlights include "Borderline" and "Come Together", but taken as a whole the release is fantastic, earning just acclaim over the years as both one of the best debut albums of all time and one of the best live albums of all time. Given the strength of the MC5's work when held up against modern hard rock, it's incredible to think of how most audiences reacted to the band back in the 1960s. They truly represented the 'counterculture' at its most aggressive.
