I liked this more than the original because it was funny and kept me engrossed. As Tom Ripley's confidence, power, and wealth grow, he is forced to kill again. He will do anything to avoid getting caught and to hide his past crimes. He doesn't even seem daunted by other sociopaths who try to kill him. The exotic locations and bizzare people in the art scene worked well for the story. Major characters for the "Ripliad" are introduced here for the first time --the ending is very cool.
