I certainly can't argue, or complain (and I won't), about the absolute visual excellence of The Matrix. It wouldn't make any sense to even try..... But when it comes to the story (which I found to be far too long) - The Matrix is, most definitely, open to some reasonable argument and dissection. For example - In regards to the beliefs and decisions made by The Legendary Morpheus - It totally baffled me that Morpheus never even once suspected that The Oracle was, in fact, nothing more than just another program from the Machine Room.... Did he really think that she was, in actuality, a "real", bona-fide Oracle? When you seriously consider the fact that Morpheus knew a great deal more, than most, about the workings of The Matrix, his gullibility toward The Oracle, and her blathering, was truly unbelievable. All of The Oracle's very questionable fortune-telling/predictions were taken by Morpheus at literal face value. He never even bothered to thoroughly investigate who, or what, she really was. And, yeah - OK - The Oracle never did do Morpheus and his crew any wrong. But, all the same, she was not one of them. How could she have ever been completely trusted not to double-cross them?.... Remember - The Matrix was chock full of glitches.
