The book is a positive experience for a child reading this book due to the book implying eternal love from mother to son. The book is an easy read, predictable, rhymes, and has a lullaby within it. The book is an easy read due to the simplicity of the words. The book is considered predictable because the author uses the exact text every night when the son goes to the sleep what the mother's actions will be. The pictures are also very vibrant and lively. Love You Forever by Robert Munsch is a picture book that details an evolving love cycle from mother to son. The mother sings a lullaby to her son every night when the child has gone to bed. The book also elicits the different stages the boy goes through, from childhood to adulthood, may cause the mother frustration, but the mother still crawls across the floor of the sons room every night and picks him up in her arms and sings the lullaby to him. The lullaby simply states that the mother will love the son forever as longs as she lives and the son will always be her baby. Even when the son becomes an adult the mother still drives across town, crawls up to the son's room, through his window, and still sings the lullaby to him at night. The entire time that the son is growing older the mother is growing old and frail as well. Soon the mother is unable to go to the son at night. The son then goes to the mother walks across the room, picks her up in his arms, and sings the lullaby to the mother. The book implies that the mother later dies. The son then goes into his daughter's room, walks to her crib, picks her up in his arms, and sings the lullaby to her; implying that the cycle of the loving lullaby continues. This book is highly recommended based on its quality. The book tells a sweet story of a mother who loves her son forever until she dies.
