Everyone deserves a great love story, but for seventeen-year-old Simon Spier, it's a little more complicated. He hasn't told his family or friends that he's gay, and he doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he's fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying, and life-changing.

Charming film version of "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" is great for teens and for parents dealing with teens coming out. Probably an unrealistic affirmative response from the parents, and from his friends and classmates, but still well worth your time. This type of film hopefully will make it easier to deal with being Gay for young adults.

Sweet story about a high school boy coming out as gay. Really enjoyed the music (the Kinks!) and one of the teachers (Who tells herself, "I'm getting my tubes tied!" after dealing with the shenanigans of 2 students). Made me think how much harder it is for this generation of teens to have to deal with social media, on top of everything else. Worth a watch

Cute guy goes gay. It's not terrible but it's far from great. I find most romantic comedies if not all to be insipid and predictable. This holds true for this one too. Its all too cute and sweet. You can tell they are really trying too. Oh well. Give it a try and see what you think.

Simon Spier has a close knit group of family and friends, but he's keeping a large secret from everyone until a post on a local website makes him reconsider. Based off the book Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli.

This movie is really aimed at the younger generation. In my era, people came out as adults; in my children's generation, people came out in high school or earlier. Its all good.

A very sweet and funny film with a good cast and script. Would definitely watch again.

Can't believe people are still offended by homosexuality in 2018.

Enjoyable coming out/coming of age dramedy that rings true.

a teen rom/com - a little to sappy for me. but I'm not the target audience.
great to see a focus on a gay relationship

At the beginning I was distracted by how rich they all seemed (given a car? huge houses, giant kid's bedroom, coffee every day?), but by the end of the movie I really felt emotionally attached to the characters. It felt real: like how painful and awkward, but also beautiful, teenage romances and friendships can be.
