This movie is absolutely beautiful! Amazing actors/singers/dancers and the storyline is so cute and heartwarming. A definite watch especially for families!

Though it lacks any real conflict, The Greatest Showman gets by on a combination of Hugh Jackman's charm and insanely great, showstopping musical numbers. Though the film is presents a sanitized version of PT Barnum's life (and ignores the more problematic elements of his circus empire), it works just fine when treated as fiction.

I am so glad that I saw this in theaters to really experience the spectacle. I loved the songs!

It's a modern version of the old classic movie musical style.
Very cool movie.

Watched this when it was out in the theater and recently watched it again on a rental. I've now added my name to the hold list because I just want to see this again. I was crying at certain scenes. The ones where the freaks came out and sang "This is me" after they were rejected was so beautiful. The beginning song "Come Alive" when they touched wood with the circus was so inspiring and brilliant. It felt a connection like history was being made and I felt a part of that watching this movie. One of the last song "Home again" and seeing the change in character from that point, made me cry as well. This is an artistic masterpiece. The only other movie I remember that was good like this was "Moulin Rouge" in 2002.

Good intro, but wow, that was painful to sit through. Disney, you have ruined animated movies, Star wars and now musicals. Are you happy?!

I enjoyed the music and choreography a great deal. However, I was disappointed that it felt like there was not much story. I didn't feel like I got to know the characters in any in-depth way, so I was not really invested in what happened to them.

Fantastic music and visually appealing. The acting was also good, but I felt that the story-line was lacking a little bit.

Please ignore the bad reviews, the movie (and soundtrack) are spectacular! My husband had moist eyes. Just a wonderful film and yes it is a musical!

I absolutely LOVE Musicals and am salivating for a comeback, especially after "Chicago" & "La La Land". On that note, I found the choreography rather repetitive in the ring. I liked the PT & Charity dances on the roof, but that was mostly the stunt dancers (?), with the cuts back to the stars rather jarring. The lyrics were pedestrian in viewing and caused no humming of songs as I left the (Home) Theatre. I did experience some toe tapping however. I had heard some songs on Pandora and intriguingly enjoyed them...I could not, however, pick them out of a line-up from the movie.
That being said, Hugh Jackman's exuberance was infectious and the interplay between the children (wonderfully natural) and the parents was great. Overall, enjoyable, but a little disappointing.

Mind you, I wouldn't call it art.
