Incredible going through this journey with Declan, the main character. After his parents got divorced and not having any contact with his father for 5 years whatsoever, he still can’t process the reason why his parents got the divorce in the first place. Having many troubles at home with having to deal with his older brother who has been greatly affected by the split up and having his teen sister become pregnant, he has a hard time at home since his mom worries about his brother more, seeing Declan as a good child. Due to Declan’s lack of commitment in school work, he needs to get a peer tutor who may have changed Declan’s life for the better. Fully diving in and understanding what Declan is going through and how he was impacted by these events will have the reader viewing things in a different way. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster, confused in the beginning however after everything connects together like a puzzle, understanding how events such as the one in the book can greatly impact their lives. A very well written novel I would recommend. 4/5
