Directed by Doug Liman in 2017, this American docudrama depicts the life of Barry Seal and his involvement in the biggest covert operations in US history.
It is definitely one of the most outrageous and darkest conspiracies in the world history.
Following these notorious operations, the CIA becomes embroiled in the infamous Iran–Contra affair.
Amazing and unbelievable!

Excellent true story. Never knew about pilot Barry Seals until now..As a teenage pilot I enjoyed the flight scenes. Bonus Features interesting. Tom is an experienced pilot and he stated he did all the flying in the movie.

Very good "based on a true story" movie. A lot of fun to watch.

Liked this one. It starts as sort of comical and finishes sad and dark. Could have been a 2 hour Miami Vice back in the 80's.

Great film! Tom Cruise is at his best! This is a "MUST SEE" film, I'd highly recommend it!

I did like this film as portrayed with an unscrupulous but likeable pilot that knew no bounds. This is a film that is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, as the main character talks to the audience and as he somewhat stumbles through each increasingly dangerous mission smuggling cocaine, guns and people.
This character, as flawed as he was, is shown to be a charming family man, that left a TWA pilot job for the sake of adventure and money elsewhere. He is shown to be faithful, but reckless to his wife and children. Never boring or slow, this movie does move a rapid pace, but I did find some aspects to be unbelievable (CIA portrayal). As another review points, out, although based upon true events, it strays from the facts for what is a well done film.
Special Features is worthwhile to watch, as it has comments from the director and Tom Cruise and also found value in watching the deleted scenes with the commentary "on," as the director explains aspects of the film.

It's not in the theme of James Bond or Mission Impossible, so people should not expect to see similar setup, glorious sceneries. The main character has to act and navigate with and among all kind of people from idiotic to clever, trust worthy to crook in all kind of situation. The role of the predictably unpredictable brother-in-law spices up this dramatic comedy!
Very brilliant and fun filled mix.
