5 are previously published novelettes as ebooks or bonus in earlier novels. Other than the new entry, “Too Much Time,” the rest are short adventures that spanned over the course of hours to a couple of days during the big guy's aimless travels over the years. More Reacher "secrets files" from the past please.

Some good, some not so much but a nice way of showing us the young Reacher without reverting to endless flashbacks in his current novels. I have given up on Child due to his sell-out to Hollywood by allowing Tom Cruise to portray Reacher-a giant portrayed by a midget, go figure, the dollar reigns supreme.

This collection of short stories is a lot of fun to read. I particularly enjoyed the ones about young Jack Reacher.

I just love Jack Reacher, and this book didn't disappoint. Fast paced and action packed. A whole lot of ass kickin packaged in these short stories. Five stars from me!!
Lee has a new Reacher novel on the way called "Midnight Line: a Jack Reacher novel". Better put your hold request in fast because there's only 25 copies on order at the library.

Total disappointment! Lee Child just cashed in on his reputation with the Reacher novels by writing this drivel for an easy paycheck. Stick to what you know, and short story writing is not Child's forte. 1/5 stars.

Love Jack Reacher books, but this was my least favorite. Most of the stories were not the Jack Reacher we're generally accustomed to

Disappointing to re-read novellas I have already purchased over the years now repackaged as a new Jack Reacher novel. Like the book, Jack's Rules, I felt ripped off.
If you haven't read these previously they are VERY GOOD stories. They reminded me of the depth of analytical mind and observations of Jack Reacher that have been lacking lately. They helped wipe out the image of Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher...can you see me shudder as I type Cruise? 3/5 stars

I'm as big a Reacher fan as anyone, but this short-story book: not so much. Everyone has particular strengths and weaknesses, and it seems that Lee Child's strength is full-length novels.

Other: I love this series. Of course some of the books are a swing and a miss but as I get towards the end I always savor it and read slower.

Sexual Content: Yes. My only request for me Lee Child is that maybe he type slower so I can finish my...wait, never mind. I just wanna know where the 58 year old Jack Reacher is getting his viagra and testosterone replacement therapy.

Violence: I enjoy the way a writer that when he speaks sounds like he should be the butler on "Downtown Abbey" can come up with fight scenes that are so impossible that Tom Cruise can look competent doing them in a movie.
