Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Illumination Entertainment's Sing stars Buster Moon (Academy Award® winner Matthew McConaughey), a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal--some might even say delusional--optimist who loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now faced with the crumbling of his life's ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition.

My daughter loves it enough that she asked me to rent it again so must be good. Lots of singing and she takes singing lessons so I am sure that helps

OK ... it won't be in line for any artistic awards but, I must admit, I a sucker for what is generally put forward as a "kid movie" ... sssshhh ... I really enjoy them and really enjoyed this. Plot a bit predictable but the animation, and especially the music, were great!

A koala hosts a singing competition in a desperate attempt to save his beloved theater, but ends up in over his head when a misprinted flyer misleads contestants and the lives of all of the animals involved begin spiraling out of control. This was cute, with a couple of heartbreaking moments that were ultimately balanced out by good feelings and a great variety of music!

Okay-so it's not going to win any awards. But it's cute, has a fun story line, and great music!

I love that they used songs from The Beatles, Stevie Wonder & Elton John. Very cute movie.

Didn't think I would like it. I loved it. It seemed a little more adult to me in certain story lines. Maybe that's what made it such a gem. Ash, the porcupine, rocks. Her breakup anthem, "Set it All Free", had me at "hello". The trailer tells it all. "American Idol meets the "Voice" and we all waiting for the finale "Fireworks". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7uGHY-t80I

Amusing. A bit flimsy compared to, say, Pixar. But fun.

Other: Mom pig doesn't wear a whole lot during her performance. Also, fox girls spell out bad word several times during their audition.
