This book has a beautiful cover and the author does a nice job of creating that creepy, Gothic atmosphere. She also had a great premise--a woman returns to her childhood home to discover that someone has been pretending to be her. Sadly, the story is more about romance and the mystery just kind of exists to the side. I mostly skimmed the last 100 pages of the book as I waited for the big reveal of just what was going on.
I think this is a book that would appeal to readers of romance who want a little Gothic suspense mixed in. But if you're wanting Gothic suspense with just a touch of romance mixed in, this book is probably not for you.
This is a great book that keeps you wondering what surprise is next. The ending is very good.
One of the best books I have read in awhile- highly recommended
