This Woody Allen(ish) attempt at writing was deplorable. The plot was appropriate for a 30 minute short rather than a full length movie. Pacino was typical Pacino (If you like that sort of pathetic stuff). A few cameo appearance by the so-called stars. No my cup of tea.

I watched over half of it, then I thought "This is actually a really boring movie!" and turned it off.

I thought it was brilliant. Loved Greta Gerwig and Pacino was brilliant and I don't even like Pacino.

Sure, great acting and such. But to me this felt like another self-indulgent Pacino movie where he is the centre of attention and gets to act and act and act and philosophize about life and such. It irritated me that way.

seems very similar to birdman - both movies slow and not easily followed... I think both actors did a great acting job, but the movies lacked anything to be desired.

I watched this for 44.5 minutes which was at least 35 minutes too long. the opening is uncannily like Birdman, which did it first and better.

Al Pacino plays an aging actor who begins to blend daydreams, night dreams, fantasy, his roles with his real life. The genius of the film is that he gets to play so many roles going in and out of them and you begin to wonder where he as at each moment. Only a great actor like Pacino could play this kind of film. While the film is based upon a novel by Phillip Roth, director Barry Levinson and Pacino improvise wherever it suits them. This film is for Pacino fans only. Fast and Furious and Game of Thrones fans will have no interest whatsoever.
