On the surface of things, Sharon Lewis is a lot like any other happily married mother of 3: she is the beating heart of a house full of kids, cooking and chaos, the one who always knows the after-school practice schedule, where her husband put the car keys and who needs a little extra TLC. Her kids and husband think she's a little spooky, actually, the way she can anticipate the tensions of any situation--and maybe they love her all the more for the extra care she gives them.

Dark, psychological, and thought provoking, Web of Angels tells the story of Sharon Lewis, a happily married wife and mother—that is, until the morning when a pregnant teen and family friend, commits suicide. This tragic event stirs up Sharon’s own secrets: a diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder and a childhood full of fear, manipulation and abuse. With Heather gone, Sharon’s multiple personalities search for answers and seek to help Heather’s surviving sister from a fate no child should ever face

Very good. I recommend this book - interesting concept, mystery, humor, tragedy - all in one

"The subject matter is hard to beliveve" When you know people with identity disorders it becomes very real indeed. We often use the book Sybil as our yardstick for this disorder and ought not to.
It was recently uncovered that the real Sybil never had an identity disorder and basically played out the role to the best of her capacity, in order to please her doctor and futher her career.
(She admitted to the farce in a letter she wrote to the doctor.)

Wow. This was an amazing book, very gripping, beautifully told. The subject matter is hard to believe but Lilian tells the story with such a true voice, or rather a set of voices. By the time you start to get into the difficult stuff, you are so attached to the characters, that it compels you to keep reading.
