Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she?s about to meet someone who will make her lose control.... It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she?s been making decisions based on what?s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may?or may not?fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable. The sexy new bartender at work gives her butterflies every time she looks at him. And for once, Jo is tempted to put her needs first. Cam is just as obsessed with getting to know Jo, but her walls are too solid to let him get close enough to even try. Then Cam moves into the flat below Jo?s, and their blistering connection becomes impossible to ignore. Especially since Cam is determined to uncover all of Jo?s secrets?even if it means taking apart her defenses piece by piece.

Nice storyline following the first book, I believe it was well written. You find yourself worrying about the characters and general twists and turns throughout the story.

This was a great follow up (#2 in series) to 'On Dublin Street'. The characters and story line of Jo and Cameron really is interesting and worth getting into.

This book was a departure from my usual reading habits. I loved it!
The story was totally engrossing- I was hooked to the lives of all the characters. The plot was solid with the right amount of romance and drama to keep me at the edge of your seat.

Really enjoyed this book, I loved the realism of it. I really like this author as well. The way she writes her books, you get hooked on the characters and storyline from the start and I literally couldn't get thru the book fast enough to see what would happen. Looking forward to her other books.

This review describes a different Samantha Young book. "On Dublin Street."

The book is about two characters featured in "On Dublin Street".

Jo & Cam are the main characters in "Down London Road".

Please make the correction. The description is not correct.

I've read so many romance novels where the couple need to overcome some tragic, damaging past, that I arrived at this story with the same notion in mind. The difference here is that Jo is trying to hide her present, not her past. And she has good reason to want to keep that side of her personal life private. It's a variation on the same theme, but one that I appreciated.

Great read! Great story. Jo was definitely made out to be a golddigger. loved that the author explained her character more thoroughly.
