I was so sad when Septimus Heap ended, and was skeptical of this new series, but Pathfinder was awesome. All of the old characters are still around. Basically, the world gets a little larger again as Sage introduces new characters and places. I seriously cannot wait for the next book!

This is a great introduction to Alice "Tod"Hunter Moon and her friends Oskar and Ferdie. This adds to the world already created in the Septimus Heap series which while you do not have to read them first it is helpful.

It is lovely to meet characters from the Septimus Heap series again and see what they are up to seven years later.
