I suspect I've reviewed this before, but I rewatched and it's still utterly charming. I would recommend to anyone.

OK, as far as zombie movies go. She loves to take Our LORD's name in vain. Not recommended.

A Romeo & Juliet zombie movie.... Isn't that just soooo cute?

Warm Bodies was, without question, one of those infuriating "zombie-turned-love-story" movies that only excelled in earning my complete contempt for it and all of its utter preposterousness.

If you ask me - Warm Bodies was so brain-dead and moronic (on all counts) that it only ended up completely disgracing the movie sub-genre of zombies like no other picture I've ever seen before, or since.

And, as far as zombie movies go - Warm Bodies contained so many glaring flaws and equally cringe-worthy moments that, at this point, I don't know where the heck to start voicing and venting my total disgust for this reeking heap of idiotic asininity.

So, in conclusion - I will bring my angry commentary to its abrupt end by simply saying that I sure hope that this sort of "zombie-turned-love-story" movie isn't going to become the latest trend.

Sheesh! Spare me that ultimate torture!

I was worried that based on the cover that this would be a sappy teen flick. A nice light touch with the romance element, a few laughs, and *nom, nom, nom* brain-eating zombies make for a solid zombie flick that is lacking in the scares or survival-horror department, but it was a good time nonetheless.

A lot better than it had any right to be. A good guide for how to reclaim our own humanity. Read Coleridge's "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" for additional insights.

An overall solid movie. You won't get the scares that you would watching a Walking Dead episode or 28 Days Later, but you will be grateful that there is some good story telling and character building. Yeah perhaps we needed better secondary character building, I would have loved to have seen Malkovich play a more significant role in the story, and perhaps learn a little bit more about the Boneys. All in all, a MUCH BETTER LOVE STORY THAN TWILIGHT.

I keep crossing paths with Bazooka Joe in my reviews. And I keep disagreeing with him/her. Although here my disagreement is odd. Yes, this is a sweet film, but it is original and pays homage to several types of zombie movies while both parodying and tributing Romeo and Juilet and Rom-coms in general. If this sounds like blasphemy followed by cardinal sin, then you'll probably agree with Bazooka Joe. If this sounds like a surprisingly original entry into two genres so packed with run of the mill mediocrity that it would kill a horse then Warm Bodies will be a welcome change.

I enjoyed the fact that like “Zombieland”, “Warm Bodies” parodies zombie films. However, I didn’t care much for the story of teenage romance and felt that some actors (i.e. Malkovich), at this point in their careers, simply deserve stronger roles.

(*Attention! - Spoiler Alert!*).... If you're seriously hankering for a "warm-fuzzy" zombie-movie experience - (Yep. That's right! - A "warm-fuzzy") - Then you need look no further than Warm Bodies. This picture has got to be one of the warmest, one of the fuzziest, and, yes, one of the most sickeningly-sweet, retch-inducing zombie movies imaginable.

Not only that - I'd definitely say Warm Bodies also ranks right up there as being one of the absolutely phoniest "quick-cure" zombie movies ever made, as well.

And, like, if that wasn't enough to earn this viewer's total contempt - Warm Bodies was also a zombie movie that refused to make up its bloody mind whether it wanted its zombies to be the slow, drag-your-feet type, or the fast, impossible-to-outrun ones. (Ho-hum!)

And, on top of all of that crap - Warm Bodies' story was so frickin' demented-to-the-extreme that it actually had the unforgivable audacity of sadistically twisting all of its warm-fuzziness into (get this!) a Romeo & Juliet romance, complete with a truly nauseating "balcony scene", to boot. (Oh, Romeo! Oh, Romeo! Where for art thou?)

Yes. Indeed. Warm Bodies (which was filmed in Montreal, Quebec) was filled to overflowing with inane plot-holes and truly brain-dead inconsistencies, including a zombie who, at first, was incapable of speech, but, all the while, was delivering to the viewer a fluent, blow-by-blow, voice-over narration as his way of filling in the gaps. (Spare me!)

Julie: I actually miss him.
Nora: You... you miss... him...
Julie: I know, I'm so stupid.
Nora: Like... like you're attracted to him...
Julie: No, I don't...
Nora: Like... he could be your boyfriend? Your zombie... zombie boyfriend?
[pause]
Nora: I mean, I know it's really hard to meet guys right now, with the apocalypse and stuff. Trust me. And like I know that you miss Perry. But Julie, this is just weird. Like, I wish the internet was still working so I could just look up what whatever it is that's wrong with you.
