Master assassin Will Robie must track down a deadly rogue agent, but the attacks conceal a larger threat that could send shockwaves through the U. S. government and around the world in this #1 New York Times bestselling thriller.

Will Robie is a master of killing.

A highly skilled assassin, Robie is the man the U.S. government calls on to eliminate the worst of the worst--enemies of the state, monsters committed to harming untold numbers of innocent victims.

No one else can match Robie's talents as a one, except Jessica Reel. A fellow assassin, equally professional and dangerous, Reel is every bit as lethal as Robie. And now, she's gone rogue, turning her gun sights on other members of their agency.

To stop one of their own, the government looks again to Will Robie. His mission: bring in Reel, dead or alive. Only a killer can catch another killer, they tell him.

But as Robie pursues Reel, he quickly finds that there is more to her betrayal than meets the eye. Her attacks on the agency conceal a larger threat, a threat that could send shockwaves through the U.S. government and around the world.

Compelling plot, a real page turner. I am a bit confused about who the real villain was, in the end. And there were a few loose ends that brought this book down 1/2 star rating. But overall a great summer read.

When you pick up a book by David Baldacci you know it's going to be action packed, you know it's going to be a thriller. Well, "The Hit," is no different. Will Robie is assigned to find a "rogue" agent who seems to be decimating the agency by killing key personnel. Is she/he really a rogue or is there any validity to the killings? A few more violent scenes involving deahs where men die like fleas and a surprising finale and you feel the world is a better place at the end of it all.

Not a great book but definitely a good book.

Baldacci seems to like his two characters - Robie and Reel - who are assassins for the CIA. His next novel, The Target, continues with their exploits and perhaps personal relationship. Plot in this story is mildly interesting, but the person responsible for calling the shots on the whole scenario is not identified, nor disabled, nor dismissed. To be continued in the next novel?

This book was a great read. It was my first time reading from this author and I was not disappointed. I was so into the story that I read it non stop.

I find many of Baldacci's books hard to read. This one is very good and Will is an excellent new character. I hope he does more 'Robie' books.
