Danielle Steel takes listeners beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood in her dazzling new audiobook. When Tanya Harris checks in to the lush Beverly Hills Hotel, she dreads spending time away from her husband and three children in Marin County. But after years of writing stories and articles on the side, and always putting her family first, Tanya has the opportunity of a lifetime to work on a major screenplay. As she is thrust into an intoxicating new world filled with A-list actors and Hollywood legends, she is forced to confront tough choices that lead her to wonder if she can be a wife, mother, and a writer at the same time.

I admit that this book really isn't my genre. I picked it up for my wife and ended up listening to it as I was between books for my commute.
That being said, this has to have been the worst audio book to which I have ever listened; and I have heard my share of crappy books.
Truly, adjectives fail me. Although "trite", "vapid" and "cliched" certainly come to mind.
Amazingly I listened to the entire book. I can't explain this. It must be due to some previously unplumbed well of masochism; akin to the compulsion to stare at Michael Jackson pictures on the tabloids when checking out groceries. My wife couldn't make it through the first CD of this tripe.
Don't say I didn't warn you!
