OMG I can't believe this book got published! Terrible advice, very unhealthy "diet". Stay away from this book!
In full disclosure, the copy of this book I had was an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley, so it may have changed slightly since it's release.

After reading the first little bit and saw I was to sit in a cold bath for 15 minutes to rev up my metabolism, I returned the book
Stupid book. No science or medical knowledge -- appears to make up own info. Gimme a break.

This book could cause serious harm. And Venice Fulton is pompous. The overlying advice in it is good - listen to your body, and do what feels right for you. But the specific advice: trading breakfast for black coffee and cold baths; that fidgeting is just as good as actual exercise; is ridiculous. Yes, it will probably work. But there are plenty of other much more logical and less insane ways to keep the pounds off.
If you want to get thin fast, and have no regard for your actual health - this book will probably work. But if you want to be healthy, then there is nothing that can beat shaving your portion sizes, making better food choices and getting up and DOING something. And listening to your body, not some ridiculous diet book where the author actually states: "I'm right, they're wrong" in reference to doctors. Because you know, 7 years of schooling to acquire a PhD makes them irrelevant.
