"...finds the perfect midpoint between the joyously smeared-out bash of its debut and the Springsteen-ian, hold-on-to-the-majesty-of-youth anthemics of The Gaslight Anthem."--NPR Music
"Our universal consensus in the studio tonight, is that this is one of the best records we've played.. Not just tonight, but in time."--Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1
"...4 out of 5..."--Rolling Stone
"8.8 out of 10...This is a celebration of being alive."--Pitchfork
"4 1/2 out of 5...Japandroids' new album begins and ends with fireworks popping, and in between is the best slab of charged up, fuzzed out posi punk you'll hear all year."--Alternative Press
This is the long-awaited follow-up to 2009's Post-Nothing. Celebration Rock is available on CD and 180-gram white vinyl. The raw energy captured on Celebration Rock is well balanced with a much bigger sound and showcases the band's growth as songwriters. Songs like Evil's Sway and The House That Heaven Built prove that the Vancouver duo has more than staying power with this sophomore release.

Celebrate JAPANDROIDS and their ROCK! Hailing from Vancouver BC, this duo is somewhere in between Superchunk & ...and They Will Know Us By Our Trail of Dead. Add a splash of Arcade fire and there you go! The album CELEBRATION ROCK is stellar--a great listen. Lyrically it's OK, but that's not really what this band is about. It's about big enthusiastic anthems delivered with the driving force of a one-man drum corp and a big guitar. They bring it.
