I loved Shrek 2 because Puss in Boots was introduced. And who doesn't find a tiny cat with boots and a Spanish accent adorable?

Taking place after Shrek successfully rescues Princess Fiona in the last movie, they are now married to each other. You may be wondering how Fiona married an ogre. Well that’s because she is now an ogre herself, and her parents don’t even know yet! If that’s not enough, now you have an assassin after Shrek. The king’s son, Prince Charming, wants to get married to Fiona, but he first must separate the couple. The assassin is a little cat named Puss in Boots. How will a little cat fight against a giant ogre? Well the little cat is fairly skilled as a swordsman. Will Shrek and Fiona’s marriage be ruined?

Enjoyed this one, but found it to be the worst of the Shrek movies. (How could I have a 'worst one'? This one's probably got the most so-so content.) Really like the quick tributes to Mission Impossible, E.T., Indiana Jones, and other movies. You'd have to be familiar with those movies to catch the sentence or action in Shrek 2. I just love how they make a fool of that ridiculous Prince Charming! And Puss really is cute...when he's trying to play on your emotions!

It was very good, really sweet, but I don't think this story captured the magic the first one had. Eddie Murphy (Donkey) was funny. (Don't miss the surprise scene with Ms. Dragon and him immediately after the first set of credits!) The Gingerbread Man is my favorite character. Larry King as the Ugly Stepsister... priceless. (lol)

It helps to know your fairytale characters in order to best appreciate “Shrek 2”. I really enjoyed this sequel (perhaps more than the original)!
