I am not an expert in crochet, and only recently decided to renew my skils. This book is the most inspiring crochet book I've ever noticed. Only 13 projects but most of them did what was needed; they have me ready to purchase some yarn and a new hook.

This is quite a good introduction to Tunisian crochet (also called "afghan stitch"). The first part covers all the basics and there is a section at the end on techniques as well. The patterns included are simple and straightforward, good for learning from. Aside from the Moebius shawl on the cover and a wide scarf, there weren't many that appealed to me, but everyone has different tastes! This is certainly a good book to learn Tunisian crochet from.
