The series was AMAZING!!!!!!
But then the movie is HORRIBLE.......... (the worst movie I even saw in my life)
That rock dance only lifted a pebble and name pronunciation is TERRIBLE!!!!
If you want to watch something good watch the series......
If you want to watch something dreadful watch the movie...... WAIT DON'T

The Last Airbender was nothing like the cartoon adaptation. It was a terrible movie and you could easily tell how low budget the movie was, with its extremely low quality and unrealistic effects, which did not make the movie very interesting. For example, in a scene where rock benders attempt to bend a rock, I was expecting a large rock or boulder to fly across the screen based on their dramatic performance, but I ended up seeing nothing more than a small rock go slowly across they screen. The fight scenes were not particularly impressive and the acting was sub-par at best. Not exactly worth your time.

Anybody who enjoyed the Nickolodeon cartoon, Avatar: The Last Airbender, will hate this movie! Not only can the actress who was cast as Katara not say "Aang" correctly, but Sokka is not funny, and the story is just ruined...

That rock bending scene where the six guys perform a tribal dance that should have shook the earth, but only sent a pebble flying through the air: funniest movie moment in years. We watched that scene over at least six times.

THIS MOVIE IS TERRIBLE!!! They don't even get the names right I can see how they could do that if it were based off a book but it's based off a tv series. Their names are mentioned like 1000 times during the series and they still got them wrong. I mean I thought Percy Jackson was bad but at least they got their names right. This movie could have been so good. But it turned out to be the worst movie I have seen. I hate this movie with Passion!!!! If you have not seen the series and love the movie only on thing I can say: WATCH THE SERIES! Its amazing!!!!!!!!!

After watching the show point of view:

EVERY TIME I HEAR SOMEONE TALK ABOUT THIS MOVIE OR SAY THAT ITS GOOD, I WANT TO SCREEM!!!! I hate this movie with all my soul, heart, body, mind, limbs, bones, and eyes. WORST MOVIE EVER!!! It makes sharknado look good! And I thought that there was never going to be a movie I hated with everything in me after watching the Percy Jackson movie after I read the book. Gods! Even thinking about this movie names me go crazy. Thank gods that Fullmetal alchemist was able to get me distracted after watching this movie. I honestly don't think that this movie is worth one star.

Before I watched the show point of view:

Listen, I understand why people like it that haven't watched the show, I was the same way. I was ten when this movie came out and I thought it was one of the best movies I had ever seen. I loved the concept of the four nations and bending, I had heard there was a show but I expected it to be some stupid kid show that's aimed for three year olds, so I didn't watch it. I got into the legend of Korra knowing it was a sequel to the first show and I loved it more then the movie. One day I got bored and watched Avatar the Last Airbender...BEST CARTOON EVER (it's not considered an anime so I can still hold fullmetal alchemist brotherhood to number one anime)!!!
Gist: WATCH THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to disappoint folks I don't have cable so have never seen the cartoon and I'm very fussy about which ones I do watch. So this was a great fantasy movie. With wonderful effects and use of marshal arts. Looking forward to the next one. Yes it was left wide open.

..........sigh............ UGH, this is the worst movie I HAVE EVER EVER EVER SEEN, I HATE THIS MOVIE, I WOULD RATHER WATCH ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS, NEVER EVER SEE THIS MOVIE, AHHHHHHHHHH, ERRRRRRRRR, THIS MOVIE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!. This movie is nothing like the original tv series. M. Night, Shamalan stop trying man, you cannot make a good movie anymore, those Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs days will never ever come back. Just stop directing movies. The acting sucks huge butt everything in this movie had to be overly serious, the effects SUCK, some of the effects look worse than ones in Birdemic. 0/5, this movie is a crap pile of crap.
