Beautiful scenery about the early 19th Century farming & cattle rearing community in Australia specifically of a town away from Sydney. Portrays the dependence of rain for the farmers on the outback. Characters were well played. All of the characters had difficult lives and rose to the occasion specially the mother who was the force behind the sheep farm. Enjoyed the movie.

Sad, thoughtful, and filmed to capture the austere beauty of an Austrailian upbringing. Unpredictable plot, strong characters.
