Decided not to watch it after all; it sounds too violent.

The film captivated me until Carlos suddenly realizes he possesses a mysterious gift. That of a Clairvoyant. Until this point, the film had succeeded in creating an atmosphere of repression and tension but this twist in the plot sends the film into a far more superficial area. From this point on the movie kind of meanders around trying to make up its mind whether it's a suspense thriller, or a political drama or unbelievable fantasy. It could have been a brilliant film if the director had created a simple and compelling look at the vile rule of the Argentinean dictatorship.

After the dictatorship fell in 1983, Argentineans were told by the Junta, "never to look back”. But it is our sacred duty to look back or history is bound to repeat itself.

Even though I was hoping the plot would change, I still enjoyed the movie for what ever it is.

A realistic depiction of a horrific time in Argentinian history. Well acted, good story. Difficult subject matter to watch at times.

The brutalities perpetrated under Argentina's dictatorship are graphically portrayed & hard to watch. Strong cast helps keep the ambivalent viewer engaged.
