Oh, boy! Good but gentler than alex/milo books. Will find more F. Kellerman to read.

While the mystery is plotted well, the reader should be aware that the L.A.P.D. officers constantly use the worst profanity. Even "Jesus" is used as a profanity, about which the author being Jewish should have exercised some caution. After all, Jesus was a Jew. Kellerman also relies on Jewish stereotypes of Christians to depict the family into which Peter was adopted. On the other side Kellerman accurately depicts Jewish traditions, which a non-Jewish reader may interesting.

I read this eons ago but remember how I loved the character development and the romance between Peter and Rina. Start of a great series.

I agree. A terrific book-- and not just for mystery readers.
