The first movie is the best movie, but if you like dinosaurs, all 3 work for you!

Y'all exited about "Jurassic World?" Yeah! If you're of a certain age, you'll remember seeing "Jurassic Park" in the theater (summer '93) and being blown away by the special effects, if somewhat less impressed by the story and annoying kids (Spielberg's weakness). He followed it up with "The Lost World," a title taken from Arthur Conan Doyle. It's more of the same, but it does add some good actors (Julianne Moore, Vince Vaughn, Pete Postlethwaite) and at least more people get eaten, which is what the series is lacking. That's the problem with the PG-13 rating. I'd love to think there's a director's cut out there that is just non-stop dinosaur mayhem! Spielberg wasn't involved the third entry, which is by far the weakest. Sam Neill returns, but Jeff Goldlbum is gone. On the plus side: flying dinosaurs! On the negative side: hardly anybody gets eaten. What gives?

First film is the best, by far. Although it's a lot of pseudoscience, I love how they try to craft a fantastic family film while infusing lessons in genetics, evolutionary theory, and paleontology. Topics like these aren't touched on in "awesome and cool" tentpole blockbusters, so kudos for the original and the best, the classic JURASSIC PARK. The sequels are a bit mediocre, but enjoyable for some, so to each their own! JURASSIC PARK recommended.
