One of the most enjoyable books I have ever listened to. The plot is unconventional and the hero is flawed. He makes bad decisions, yet holds others to a moral standard he himself can't attain. Venice after WWII is a great setting for an original story of deception, deceit and betrayal. Highly recommended.
