This is a good book that is short and easy to read. I have to admit, my interest lies most heavily in the actual taking of pictures and not on printing and necessarily learning about the software to creating better photos, so I skipped over those parts, which seemed to take up most of the last half of the book. The author does a wonderful job of introducing the novice photographer to the joys of a new digital camera and ideas like lighting, aperture, and shutter speed. Great way to start your journey into learning more about amateur photography.
