Just ordered this and looking forward to watching it since I read it is based on Jane Austen's "Emma." Paula Byrne in her new book, "The Genius of Jane Austen: Her Love of the Theatre and Why She Works in Hollywood," says it is a great adaptation of the novel, and an homage to "Emma." Byrne says, "The plot and the characters are faithfully preserved... It works brilliantly in its own right." Since Byrne's review of some of the dialogue made me laugh out loud, I knew it was time to see this film.

Teen socialite Cher is at the top of her Beverly Hill high school's social rank and determined to do good and serve the public, whether or not it is in fact helping. After successfully setting two teachers up as her way of raising her mark, she decides to embark on the challenge of giving the new quirky student Tai, a makeover. After Tai becomes more popular than Cher, however, she begins to realize that perhaps her older ex-stepbrother was right about her. This then causes Cher to reevaluate herself and what is important to her. This movie transforms a stereotype into a classic and examines the lives of pretty popular kids in a way not usually represented.

Clueless is the perfect girly and hilarious 90’s teen film with a killer soundtrack. Cher Horowitz is a stylish, popular, and extremely rich teenage girl who gives her friend Tai, the new girl at school, a complete makeover because she thinks that Tai is totally lost and clueless. In the end, Cher realizes that she is in fact the Clueless one, and that she shouldn’t try to change her friends to fit her own standards. This is one of the most quotable movies of all time, with classics such as “As if!” and “I’m totally buggin’.” Recommended for teenagers or even anyone who enjoys the 90’s.

Ive loved this movie since it came out. The kind of movie you can watch over & over again. Laughs, dramatic teenagers, makeovers, definitely a chic flick but one you will end up buying and adding to your collection. Perfect for kids who grew up in the 80s and 90s!

Mocha6ft3 Aug 14, 2013, Whatever!!! Ha,ha,ha,ha. I enjoyed watching this movie and thought it was totally cool as it reminded me of how one of my friends, who i had a huge crush on, talked at that time. She was the very first "Valley Girl" i met and had a crush on. All the ladies in this film were very attractive and funny. Especially Dee. She's the reason why i watched it when it appeared on television on channel 11. Although this movie is more about story and characters, and it consist of all around sound, it still should be played on your HOMETHEATER!!! This movie is part of my collection that i could watch more than once. I'm giving this film that brought back memories 4 and half stars. For story, clothing, yes i like the clothes on the ladies, and totally cool characters. 2 very large hamburgers with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, lots of ketsup, thin slices of pineapple, french fries, and a large root beer...
