This second volume of the Dragon Ball series is an excellent follow up and really builds on the characters and the already excellent storyline. The encounter new foes and the comedy in here is even more funnier than the first volume. This manga is truly living up to its legendary status with volumes like these releasing, I hope more folks catch onto this great manga and enjoy its humour and action-fueled sequences. I know I loved it and enjoyed every page of this manga, though the pages are in black and white you can imagine the characters and their surroundings being in colour. The ideas behind this manga are so genius, like who thinks of using a cloud as a vehicle, and a monkey boy who is powerful; Akira Toriyama that’s who. His work is impeccable and has certain quality that charms almost everybody. Dragon Ball was rated greatest action manga and anime for a reason, and it’s much respected around the world and has influenced many mangas. Mangas such as Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach all take something out of the blueprint Akira Toriyama did with this series. I recommend all comic and manga readers to read this series, I am certain you will love it and relish its wondrous story. The fact that this only the second book and this good already tells you the quality work Toriyama put into the series. Overall I give this release a solid 5/5, its simply outstanding and no words can explain how great it is.
