Scarves are the perfect take-along crochet project. They're small enough to stuff into a tote, there's no fussing about fit, and they're ideal for using up leftover yarn or splurging on a luxury skein. The 25 designs included here range from classic and elegant to fun and funky, with projects suitable for complete novices as well as veterans who are truly "hooked" on crochet. Basic how-tos are included for beginners, who might choose to start with a simple mesh pattern stole or the whimsical confetti-and-feather-look Eyelash Scarf. Experienced crocheters will love the colorful Paisley Wrap or the summer-weight Spoke-Motif Shawl. So steal a few minutes from your busy life and enjoy the pleasures of crocheting wherever you go.

Crocheting for me is a survival tactic. Whenever life gets just a bit too much, I dig out some project or start a new one and voila! life is good again. Portable piece-work keeps me happy anywhere and everywhere. And when I saw the delectable scarf on the cover I just knew this book was for me. Soon I found lots of other projects (shawls, stoles, wraps) that I can choose from, and they really made my heart go pitty-pat!
