Stone Carvers is one of my all-time favourites. I highly recommend it to anyone I discuss books with.

An interesting storyline with great historical content about the develop of Ontario towns in the early 1900's, as well as First World War anecdotes. An enjoyable read.

A book that needs to be (re)introduced into the Canadian psyche as a must read.

This novel introduced me to the writing of Jane Urquhart. I later read Away, which is one of my favourite books, but this fictional novel makes you fall in love with the Canadian National War Memorial at Vimy Ridge all over again.
