Rebus books get better later on. This early character is worth reading while keeping in mind he is still being developed. Plot is strong and tensions between characters is realistic if a bit undeserved.

I didn't like this book as much I enjoyed Knots and Crosses. I am going to read the 3rd Inspector Rebus novel to see if this author is worth continuing to read.
