I thoroughly enjoyed this alternative view of the Battle of the Alamo. Who’d think to have a botanist as a main character in such a tale. Harrigan even manages to weave some native American mythology in to the retelling of the mythic tale. Long book but I enjoyed and so have several others I recommended it to.
