The twelfth Redwall story. Queen Silth rules Castle Mark from behind the curtains of her palanquin, and no beast may look upon the queen and live. Greedy and vain, she has sent her six children and an army of water rats out into the world to plunder treasure to adorn her palace.

This book is not only fun, exciting, dramatic, and humorous (like all of the other Redwall books) but contains some of the most fun and singable songs to be found anywhere in the series. "Journey's End" practically demanded a huge choir of cheerful returning soldiers backed by a full orchestra, while "Good Night, Sleep Tight" is the rowdiest, funniest bedtime song I have ever come across. Three hearty Eulalias for Brian Jacques!

I really liked this book. Martin and Luke are both amazing characters, and Beau is really funny. I didn't like Luke's ending though, I think he could have won the battle without smashing the ship.

Family-friendly book. Continues the story of the characters from Mossflower. Interesting new characters are introduced, too. Love the songs & poems that are woven into the story.

This book is so cool! The whole story of Luke is sad, but good! My favorite characters are probably Luke and Martin! They're so cool!

It was really cool reading this book and finding out about Martin's father. My favorite character in this book was probably Ranguval Foeseeker.
