I found this book at a second hand store and had never read any of the critically renowned works of Salman Rushdie. I was sadly disappointed. I read the first 100 pages and found myself skimming over most of the prolific prose just to find the story line. I skipped ahead into various parts of the rest of the book and found that it wasn't going to get any better. I should have saved myself the time, but at least I know not to pick up another book by the same author.
