Wow, I can't understand how this book ever made it onto the NY Times Bestseller's List? Is the list a farce or are there really that many readers with poor taste? The characters in this novel were so uninteresting and uninspiring, I would have killed all of them off! What a very bland book. Publishshers Weekly is fairly accurate in its description, while the Library Journal claims this writer gave us "superb characterizations" and nothing could be further from the truth!

Lots of courtroom drama done well. The lawyer's ex wife is accused of murder but her story doesn't jive with the facts but what is the true story behind the murder- she kills a man who is trying to rape her but the facts don't fit her story.
