If you're looking for a coffee table book, this is certainly one to consider. It provides a wonderful pictorial tour of Stewart's garden. However, while it does provide a high level overview of what to plant and when, I was left wanting a fuller explanation of best practices for planting each type of plant, especially what to do when the unexpected happens and options for companion planting. True to nature, there are a broad array of relatively simple recipes throughout. All in all, a good read for anyone who wants to start a garden but probably too basic for someone who has been gardening for a while
