Add a CommentThis movie has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it in the theatre when it was released. It has a little bit of everything; humor, drama, sadness and a touch of romance. It's a very sweet film that's based on a true story. Robin Williams is wonderful in the title role and I loved Julie Cavner. I'm not usually a fan of Robert DiNero, but he was great as Raymond and his chemistry with Penelope Ann Miller was very sweet.
A great movie. Can't believe this is a true story.
Worthwhile to read the autobiography by Sacks as well as view the movie. The book puts the film in context.
This movie was touching and inspiring. So far I think this is one of Robert DeNiro's most spellbinding roles. He captured the disorder so well that I believed it! Robin Williams did a wonderful job too. I was sad to watch him play this role and to think this amazing actor has passed away.
This movie made me appreciate life and have compassion for those who can't do the everyday things we take for granted.
Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
