Got to love Mrs Pollifax and how she goes from adventure to adventure escaping certain capture and without electronics or technology.
Very quick and enjoyable read.

Dorothy Gilman wrote not only the Mrs. Pollifax series, but many other books. I found this and her other books delightful. she adds together just the right amount of intrique, suspense, fascinating characters and plot surprises, to make this just the book you want to read.

I am picky on language also. so am surprised at the previous comment.

by the way start out with "The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax to see how it all began.

Good story. I gave this a medium rating because of the mild expletives. Totally unnecessary to the story.

Ali, the Lion, caliph of Islam, has spoken of three things that can never be retrieved, the last of which is a missed opportunity.
