Virgil Flowers is growing on me. IMO, he seems to be a peacenik doing police work. He sure does have some interesting friends. By the time, John Sandford is finished with his Virgil Flowers series, Virgil will be like the 6 million…

An easy read, well crafted, with some exciting frozen river scenes & some fun dialogue. Sandford is a top notch writer but I don't know about Virgil all-grown-up with a family complete with dog. I think he was more fun when he was foot…

Virgil goes back to Trippton--he should have known better--and faces a hostile town. Even the district attorney hates him for putting "good citizens" in jail just because they, the school board, stole millions and killed a bunch of people…

found myself missing lucas; he seems to have more concentrated, directed purpose than virgil does; however, there are more funny lines in this virgil flowers book. the publisher's excerpted blurb seems misleading, as it appears to say the…

I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t fantastic but was an enjoyable read. Sandford always produces.

My first Virgil Flowers story. Thought it was just ok. Large Print version had a recurring typo -- "but" kept showing up as "ut".

This is a 4 1/2 out of 5. I look forward to Virgil Flowers but this one isn't up to the others thought it was a good story and I did enjoy it. Virgil finds himself back in Trippton Minnesota tasked with solving the murder of local bank…

Another enjoyable romp with Virgil in small town Minnesota! Yes, it's a bit formulaic, but it's also funny, entertaining, and a good escape from the December chill in Minnesota!

Virgil beat up by a bunch of ladies -told you he should carry that gun! One of the more interesting in the series but old Virgil can't keep on hanging around these small towns without backup-he is simply too nice a man to be involved with…

Love Virgil Flowers. and this one has more of Johnson Johnson in there so there were times I was laughing so hard I was crying. I would like to see a bit more interaction between Lucas Davenport and Virgil in the next one.

Another in the Virgil Flowers series which seem to have less of the descriptive gore and gratuitous killings than Sandford's prey series books. Virgil's light banter adds dry humor to the situations. I am tiring of the frequent mention…

This is the first book that I have read by John Sandford and I am sure that I will be reading more of his books. In Deep Freeze, Virgil Flowers, who works for the State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, is sent to Trippton, Minnesota to…

Sandford is in a small group I have of 'A' list authors. He doesn't fail me now. Though I've always liked the Davenport character better, that F'ing Flowers continues to grow on me.

Virgil is back and as humorous and blunt as ever. The character development is superb. I loved all the characters; what a fantastic read. I’m very much looking forward to the next installment of the "Virgil" series, along with all his…
