I may have only given this book three stars, but the world Seanan McGuire created truly did amaze me. This book might have gotten off to a slow start, but the end of the book truly blew me away. I've since read almost all the books in this…

I tried really hard to like this book, but I couldn’t. The author introduces wonderful new characters and settings, uses them for one scene, then rushes along to the next. The reader is given little time to enjoy the (amazing)…

This is the first of one of my all time favorite series. It just gets better and better with each book. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite urban fantasy series. October "Toby" Daye is such a fun, snarky character, but this series is a bit darker than McGuire's InCryptids series. Toby has gone through a lot of loss, and has to recover so much of…

Fans of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series will enjoy this urban fantasy series featuring half-faerie, half-human private detective October Daye.

It's the very first book in the October Daye series. Here we meet Toby a private detective/ Fairy/ badass as she is forced to return to the world she gave up after her last case turned her into a fish and she lost the reality that she had…

Excellent urban fantasy. Really great depictions of faery, not Disneyesque or anything. My only reservation is that they have too many people being let down and dying. I think having some of that is a great plot device but the author kind…

Great characters, great lore, and a great story! The world was engaging, the magic system thorough and balanced, and the narrator skilled.

I loved this book. The way the author has portrayed the fae community is simply amazing. I recommend this book for anyone who has enjoyed Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series

I really enjoyed this one. It was nice to see a female lead whose story doesn't devolve into erotica after the first chanpter. I did find it a bit hard to get into, but once the story gets going, I finished it off in one night.

I heard great reviews of the series and really enjoyed reading 'Feed' a zombie novel by Seanan McGuire's pen name Mira Grant (or is it the other way 'round?). I found the plotting wasn't was strong as I expected compared to her other…

I enjoyed this book & it's originality. It's a clever mix of faery tail fiction and mystery crime solvers.

I really liked this book, it's well written, and an interesting idea. It's a contemporary faerie tale with a mix of crime solving.

A nice series for fairy and sci-fi lovers with a realistic lead female character who is ever the reluctant hero.
