Until now, I was the last person to have not seen this already. I wish I knew what took so long.
This is an excellent picture for all the reasons you’re able to identify yourself.
Mandatory viewing (presuming you haven’t already).

The first impulse is to simply call this a "cute" movie. And it most definitely is that. But there are also a few deeper life lessons tucked inside the adorable exterior for those who care to look. A very enjoyable way to spend 90 mins.

I don't understand the hype of "Up". It's cute and all, but I prefer "real" animation, the way Disney used to do it. Not really impressed with this one. I've only seen this once, and that was really enough.

This is an amazing film and will be enjoyed by everyone, beware though the first little bit is heart wrenching, especially if you are an adult who has experienced any of the struggles/life challenges the couple faces.

I watched this twice and every viewing gives me a different perspective of what I missed.
Be kind to the elderly is a subliminal message but has humor too; 'my name is Russell, and the dog Doug comes to greet the two & don't forget to…

Crazy ,but believable story.
I liked older protagonist, Asian-American sidekick & dog with universal translator for that touch of science fiction.
Surprisingly bittersweet beginning on adult subjects.
