Meh. What's all the fuss? I just don't like her style. Others do, but not me. I'll keep looking for a mystery writer who's more my style.

Eh. It's good, but kind of depressing (and I'd already watched the movie which left a bad taste in my mouth.)

Even though I'd seen the movie(s), I'd also forgotten the real intricacies of the plot. An enthralling tale from the first page to the last. I<3 AC and HP! Simply the best!

A saw a bit of the latest movie adaptation this weekend and... encourage you to read the book instead. Or listen to the audiobook. It's one of the more clever plots from Christie and is worth taking in in its original form.

Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile is a mystery that combines passion and hatred expertly, leaving the reader halfway between a swoon and a scream. The book takes place, as one would expect, on the Nile, which makes for an even more…

This Poirot mystery has a fairly far fetched solution but nonetheless creates a very engaging puzzle for the reader to try to unravel alongside Poirot. Christie references at least 4 other Poirot novels in this work, but it could stand…

This is the 15th Hercule Poirot full length novel that was first published in 1937. It is a very clever mystery featuring Poirot right from the start. There's lots of clues and hints for the reader to indulge in. There's two other…

I'm a big fan of Christie, and this is one of her best! I really enjoyed being along on this trip, experiencing what it would be like taking this boat back in the 30's. There were lots of significant characters, but they were well…

It was fun reading this because I love how Hercule Poirot solves the crimes. I am always fooled, I never guess who did it! This is a classic and I want to see the movie now.

"Death on the Nile" by Agatha Christie is, like most of Christie's mysteries, a 'cozy.' Even though there is much bloodshed, the bullet holes are small. The shed blood is minimal. Poirot is on vacation and has purchased a ticket for a…

I've only read two other Christies and enjoyed them both a lot, so I don't know why I haven't read more. This is as classic a mystery as it comes: a group of disparate people in a confined setting (a boat cruise on the Nile), someone is…

This is such a good book and a must read for mystery lovers! Notice: Some of the characters used the D-word, not all the time but often enough I thought I should mention it.

In this book, the queen of detective fiction, Agatha Christie, shows her careful and keen observation of human nature through a cruel and well planned murder. Yet in a sympathetic, unexpected and romantic way. The exotic location Egypt,…

The beginning I found a little confusing because a lot of characters were introduced in the first 50 pages or so. After that the book is amazing, just like all of Agatha Christies other books. I would recommend it to lots of people.

Agatha is the Queen. Whenever I think that she is going for something predictable, she surprises you. There's also a lot of literary merit in her work that people don't talk about. I liked this one in particular because the characters are…

One of the reasons author Agatha Christie was so popular in her early days, this book came out in 1937, was the travelogue component of her books at a time when few people could afford to get travel fever. Egypt, Cairo and the Nile with…
