Comment
Add a CommentDON'T PANIC! I just finished this amazing book! In my opinion, Adams perfectly satirizes government bureaucracy in a cleverly written, entertaining book. Of course, that is only part of the entire web he spins in Hitchhiker's - regardless, that was something I found particularly funny. It is a really funny book. Great characters (Marvin is my favourite), great amount of sci-fi with a nice mix of comedy. This is really more of a comedic book with a cosmic backdrop, really. Give this book a chance, it's worth a read. It's short and the content isn't overly 'challenging' for the non-sci-fi fanatic. If anything, there's a more 'human' quality to it because of how much it makes fun of us and the weird things about our society. Finally, remember to always bring a towel with you (it's surprisingly useful despite it banal appearance) and the answer to life, the universe, and everything is 42.
